Everyone knows what agriculture is. Still, I find myself giving introductory lectures after a simple answer to, “What kind of work do you do?” or “What did you study?”. Plant breeding is as old as time. No kidding. Yet, ignorance and ill-fame in the era bequeathed with the greatest access to information are its impetuses.
